Vincent finished one chapter in his 1st math book. Which was 70 pages it took him about 2 hours. His teacher gave him 4 math books to do for summer since he didn't get to go to summer school and was mad that he didn't have to go to summer school. He says he wants to start chapter two in a few hours. I told him wait for tomorrow. We have all summer to work on his books let's not rush it.

@vintagepony aww that's great. I am dyslexic and have a hard time reading and have a speech impediment. My son is the same way. I cheer on all kids how have a harder time than other because they put more effort because they know they can do the same as other.

@vintagepony yes I tell my son all the time he can do anything he just has to believe in himself and not give up
@victoria-ashley, her dad too is dyslexic. It’s a tough road! 👍🏼 To our babes for trying so hard :)

@victoria-ashley, my eldest really struggles with reading. So I totally get the appreciation in your post! With tutoring her confidence has grown so much and when she takes it upon herself to do her work or extra, it makes my heart smile
@vintagepony yes I am very proud of him. With everything we have worked on and him having a hard time reading he makes me beyond proud.

@vintagepony yup he is. We got a science book and 2 writing books and a history book. He was signed himself up for a reading challenge 300 minutes and more reading in a month.
That’s wicked!! Love his motivation to learn!
