Our daughter fights sleep every night.. Its literally a screaming, kicking tantrum every night and she will fight for a couple hours, doesn't fall asleep until 11 most nights. We've tried waking her up earlier in the morning, tried taking her nap away during the day, and nothing has made a difference. Need advise ASAP

My daughter has slept through the night for the longest time and just recently she's started doing the same thing as you mentioned. Does your daughter stop screaming when you go into her room? What we have been doing is drawing her nighttime routine out longer. So we start her routine around 7pm. She gets a bath, she gets lotion put on her, new diaper, PJs, and then she lays down with my husband and he reads her a book. They lay together for a little bit and then he puts her in her crib, tucks her in and leaves. Sometimes she goes down sometimes she doesn't. If she starts crying, we waiting 5 min and if she's still going he will go in her room, lay her back down if she's standing, and just repeats it's time to go night night. After that she typically will go down but we're not always that lucky. If she keeps going he will go in there every few minutes and do the same thing.

@emily526 she does stop screaming we eat dinner by 6 then I give her a bath, lotion, new diaper, we sit in my chair or they sit in my boyfriends chair, and read a book, then she comes to my chair and cuddle while she drinks her milk, and try to get her to sleep. I've tried to rock her, walk around with her, put her in her stroller and walk back and forth in the living area, tried laying with her in her toddler bed and in our bed, and still she fights nonstop no matter what we do.

@1xmom It will probably just come down to your parenting style then. I know for me, my daughter is crying to get our attention, specifically my husband, because she's with him all day. I don't want her to learn that her crying means he's going to come in, because then it becomes a game. So that's why we try to limit how many times he goes in there. I know there's a lot of controversy when it comes to letting your child cry, but it has helped us on occasion, just letting her cry herself to sleep.
