It depends on if they have a reason to keep you for longer. With my oldest I was in the hospital for four days but with my second I was in for two.

@mommyofaqueen These days they seem to get you in and out, like the day after you give birth unless complications. I was there 2 days before labor even started (Friday night) due too pre e; had him Monday night, released Wednesday afternoon. I was good with that

@mommyofaqueen, i had severe anemia though i lost alot of blood in surgery and they had issues getting it back up to even let me go home, if your pregnancy is healthy im sure you’ll be fine if you need to have one, im hoping things go better this time around

@mommyofaqueen, I have flat nipples, who knew 🤷🏼♀️ I guess I wasn’t comparing and thought mine were normal. Lol. She would latch but not suck. So I had to pump religiously to get anything going.

@baby04ever, I’m high risk and thankfully I only had to stay 48 hrs

@mommyofaqueen, I was nervous since it was our first time. And breast feeding wasn’t working like I wanted to so she would cry until like 5 am and we would give in and let her go to the nursery. I kept thinking we won’t have these nurses at home, but it was sooo much better being at home and comfortable. Your attitude about it would be the same way I would be if I had another baby.

It depends like everyone said. Around here vaginal birth 3 days. C-section 4-5 days. It all depends on compilations if there is any as well. My friend was in there for a about 1 weeks. She was 3 days in labor then they kept her for 5 days after her c section

This depends on your ob group practice and if you’re high risk or not and insurance policy. With my last pregnancy I was advised to stay for 72 hours but left at 48 hours. Due to part of insurance policy they required moms to stay 72 hours in hospital and if you left before that then you’d have to see a nurse at home. In my case I was seen on the third day at home because I left before 72 hours. As long as there aren’t any complications between momma and baby post delivery then you should leave when you want, however if your insurance policy has a condition like my former policy then you can stay for that duration.

I was there for 2 days (not including the two days in labor and delivery) but the pediatrician and doctors said if they couldn’t get stuff done by the time rush hour hits, since my hospital was downtown, they were going to let me stay an extra day if I wanted to. Lol

Depends on how the baby was born & the recovery. I left the hospital about 34 hours after I had my baby.

Not usually. But some hospitals will let you stay longer. Sometimes they want to keep you if baby isn't passing newborn tests or mom is sick after birth.
