Is it normal for a doctor to schedule a csection at 37 weeks exactly?

Only unless it’s medically necessary.

@amberrosiee, I work on the LD ward and it’s completely normal for them to be scheduled at 37 weeks because of the risk of the condition. In normal circumstances they are scheduled at 38-39 weeks gestation.

@amberrosiee Placenta previa can be very dangerous. I was a plecenta previa baby, and my mom went into labor and delivered me naturally. It wasn't pretty after.

@maddoxsmama it's not for me, my sil has placenta previa and is scheduled to go in at 37 weeks and I just thought it was early. From what I've seen most women go in at 38-39 weeks.

Not sure. Mine was scheduled for 2 days before my due date but I ended up going into labor on my own at 37 weeks.

Is baby looking big? Or maybe their just trying to make sure you don’t go into labor on your own?

It would depend on the reason for the c section.
