“Don’t miss moments”
Today was one of those days a lot of my childhood memories came back. There isn’t to many memories I remember going to the store and being able to pick out anything I wanted. Normally if we were good (and with dad lol) we got a piece of candy at the end! Well as a child, picking out a piece of candy was like picking out a new car as an adult! So many options!! Today as I watched Angel pick out her scooter, mind you it took her 30 minutes and we already spent a hour getting groceries, and there were only like 4 scooters... I started to get frustrated. In that moment, I remembered my dad telling me a few years back these moments were going to happen but instead of let frustration, anger, the devil, etc overcome that moment, soak it in!! There won’t be many moments like this before life passes by and you catch yourself looking back. I instantly smiled. He once told me a story about when I was younger and we went to the store after a golf tournament. It took me almost 45 minutes to pick out a piece of candy and that was the time he realized, picking out something so small as a piece of candy is just like picking out a new car in the adults eye. Have patients with your children. No matter what they are doing. Don’t rush their decisions, let them create their characters! Life is short but when you have a child, it’s shorter. So don’t waste precious moments. Create them❤️
