Changing baby's name
So 11 weeks after announcing our name... we have decided to change it! lol I wish I hadn't announced it yet, but so far everyone except one person has been supportive and loved the name!
What was your name and what is it now? We couldn't figure out a name with my son it was so hard. Boy names are so so so hard. We finally found a name two weeks before I gave birth. We did have a name previous for a short time and a friend even made a blanket with the first letter initials and when we decided not to name the baby that we couldn't find another one we loved. Two weeks before he arrived we were able to and didn't even till bit a handful of people until the birth certificate was signed. Lol!! this time around we're having another girl and found a name I couldn't imagine changing her name right now even though my husband suggested another name.
I would definitely say it's never too late! I'd rather irritate a few people now than regret my name choice for the rest of my life! Lol you have until you sign the birth certificate to make your final decision :)
Yes, I want to change my baby's name so bad. I found out she's a girl when I was 11 weeks, so we kind of had a name the next day. Everyone has called her that this entire time, and she even has monogrammed stuff. Not sure if it's too late or not, but I really love a different name. ?
Lol at least I'm not the only one!
Her middle name will be Lynn regardless of her first name because my stepmom has pancreatic cancer, and now has stomach cancer and we are in the final leg of this year and a half long battle now. Also, my mom gave up custody and my Dad raised me and his middle name is DeLynn. So it works for both :)
We had originally decided on Aurora Lynn, and we love Aurora but like it much better with Rose, so Aurora Rose. We may never have another girl, but I would like the option to use it the way i imagined it rather than "settling" on a different middle name. We even tried adding in two middle names and using Roselynn. We just didn't like those options.
So now she will be Felicity Lynn which we are all in love with!
I did this with my last son.. it was a family thing that the boys were named after grandpa. So we had Richard James and Richard Lee so there was no II or jr's.. my husband is Richard Lee so my son was supposed to be Richard James... I agreed at first but omg I hated it and the closer I got to my due date the more depressed I felt about the name.. people had even made him some things with that name on it.. I decided around 30 something weeks I was not naming him that. He didn't have a name until 1 hr before we left the hospital.. we agreed on the 2 middle names, so I ended up with a James Lee..
We had decided on Aurora Lynn, but now we have changed it to Felicity Lynn :)
