Do I have any Mom's that strictly feed their baby from their breast and no pumping? How is it?
Usually when they go through a growth spurt, they feed more frequently. Sometimes every half hour or so... that's cluster feeding. This usually lasts a few days to a week.
@_sheriee thanks because I have 2 kids already and never heard of a haakaa.
Never had a problem feeding him in public. At first it was awkward for me but now it’s just the normal lol. We still get looks here and there. Certain places I feed him in the car. I would invest in a haakaa silicone breast pump, it’s like 10 bucks! You attach it to the opposite side baby is on and it collects the let down. I have a freezer full of milk from just using that.
I BF for 16 months and pumped when I need too. I only pumped about 10 times but it was for when I had to be away from baby or needed hubby to take over for a feeding. If you plan to exclusively BF then I would suggest getting a hand pump just in case. No need to get an electric unless you can get one for free through your insurance.
@mommytobabygirl that's what I concerned about...like church and public places.
@lolimedd true...because then it's all on us.
@chasha2017 what do you mean cluster feeding?
@_sheriee I was just curious because I was contemplating on whether to invest on a pump. I just was wondering is it convenient. Sometimes people have a hard time with us breast feeding in public.
I did. It's very demanding but I loved it. It can get hard in the beginning and especially when they're cluster feeding.
I did with my last baby for 14 months. It was easy but got a little exhausting at times. He never took a bottle
I only nurse I’ve only pumped enough for one day when I had to have surgery
I would have with my last but I had to go back to work at 6 weeks. This time tho I plan to.do this accept I'll have an emergency stash as well in the freezer
I do. It’s fine, convenient lol. Do you have any specific questions?
I did with my first and will with this baby too..I loved it💕
@chasha2017 oh my🤔
