How can I nicely tell my mother in law I don't want her in the delivery room when I'm having the baby but she can be outside waiting?? She basically invited herself I never gave her a yes

Tell her as kindly as possible that you don't want anyone in there or have the nurses do it for you. They are always going to be on your side with what you want. You can also not tell her that you are in the hospital.

You have to be in charge mama! If you’re stressed out cuz she’s there it’s not going to go well. Just explain you’d be more comfortable if you had less people in the room while actually giving birth, but that you would love for her to come see baby after!
