I know it's early but I'm really worried so my partner is going to have his wisdom teeth out at hospital today I was meant to have worked last night but didn't due to him having to leave at 6.30 to get to the hospital on time so I called work asked for annual leave it was short notice but so was the letter informing of the surgery work said they could t give me emergency annual leave but could swap my shift from yesterday today however I'm getting really worried that something may go wrong and he won't be back today also his letter says he should have adult supervision for minimal of 12 hours after the surgery but I'm going to work and he will be left with all 3 children on his own and I'm really worried about leaving them I don't know about work though I'm in charge and there's no one to cover

My hubby had his out. Tbh he just wanted to sleep and I don’t think the hospital will let him go if there isn’t anyone with him. I wouldn’t let him look after the kids on his own. X

To be honest if it was me, kids come first so I wouldn’t care about work. They’ll have to deal with it if you need time off, hope it all goes well xx

@rachaellw, I tried to explain this to work when I spoke to them about having yesterday off so he could leave and they said that was the best they can do for me. I sorta just thought he would be fine but been reading through his paperwork this morning and saw it said you shouldn't be alone for 12 hours x

@egw.mmh, defo kids do come first but they just don't seem to understand and you get victimised for it x

I’d ring work and just say you have spoken to the hospital and they said he can’t be left and he can’t look after the children on his own so you def won’t be in

@rachaellw, yes all sorted I rang and I said I'm really sorry there's no way I can do tonight explained the situation and they swapped my shift for me
