Tips for toddler bedtime tantrums!? My daughter is 2 and this just started and It can’t continue! She just screams and screams. Won’t take anything we try giving to her (sippi or paci). She keeps this up ALL night. She’s went as far as to 4 in the morning. She won’t sleep in with us or let us lay with her either. She has to fall asleep alone but she won’t!
@jahmiliapayne, she only sometimes takes a nap. I lay her down after lunch (about 12:30) and sometimes she’ll sleep for and hour or two or sometimes she’ll play til she gets bored like today.
We’ve tried no naps and we’ve tried limiting her nap time. She is a very active toddler. Always running or jumping. Now it’s summer we take her swimming and to the park about every other day.
Like I said this is new. It started about a week 1/2 ago when she stayed at her grandmas who said she was an angel going to bed for her.
It’s the baby I’m telling my daughter also does that but I just put her in the living room and she watches tv and once she falls asleep room she goes
My oldest was like this if she napped. Once she hit about 20 months she would sleep from 8pm-8 or 9am. And we couldn’t do a nap or she would be awful at night. I could choose to wake her up at 6 or 7 and do a 2-3 hour nap at noon. But if she slept past 7 I couldn’t give her a nap.
Same as pp. if Lilly takes a nap she doesn’t want to go to bed. If she’s up all day and is active she goes to bed fine.
I’ve found that if my daughter doesn’t nap during the day it is a total nightmare to put her down at night. Putting her down for a nap too early or too late also has a impact as well.
Growth spurt, maybe?
