@anonmomtobe right. It's the 2 options you have. If you don't want to have anything to.do.with him don't put him on. He will ha w to do all the work to get visitation. And will have to pay child support then.
@melissa_luv228, if he isn’t on the birth certificate I can’t get child support can I ?
I relyed upon family a lot. I went back and forth with my ex a lot when my daughter was little and I wish I had just left him alone and moved on long before I did. He has done so much more damage then he could have if I would have stuck to my standards. He is verbally and emotionally abusive and narcissistic. Always twisting up my thoughts and making me feel crazy. Anyways I stayed with my sister and parents a lot. If you're going to have him in the picture make sure to file for child support and custody. Or don't put him on the birth certificate and he will have to fight for his rights and you can tell the judge how he abused you while pregnant and that will not bode well for him. Just breath and leave him alone!!! And keep records of everything that has happened. Screen shots and journaling is great evidence.
@anonmomtobe if you don't out him on the birth certificate then he will not have any rights to the child. If he wants rights he will have to pay for a DNA test and take you to court to figure out custody/visitation and child.support. And if he does that you can provide evidence of his abuse of you during pregnancy so that they don't give him custody only maybe supervised visits. Or you put him on the certificate and take him to court immediately for.custody and child support and provide proof of his abuse. Question is Is he going to want to be in the babies life and do you want him in the babies life?
