@derricksmama_104, I always had a good experience with it. My 9 and 7 year old are still in therapy at there school but my older 2 at the end of elementary and at the end of middle school but the one in middle school took so long because he has a stuttering problem

@tristan-makes-5 yes ill be seeing more throughly about weather he'll be having it cause the teacher that comes by will be setting somthing up with a speech thearpist. Did you like and enjoy the thearpy for them how fast did they catch on?

All my kids except for the youngest has or still has speech therapy I started them in birth to 3 program that is available where I’m from also talking to his pediatrician and they might be able to set up something for her m to be evaluated

Thank you mamas honestly i just been back and forth with how i felt about that comment. Think it kinda just rubed the wrong way cause we just got back too starting the classes again since are trip.

But thank you guys ill juat keep learning more and doing my best with my boy.☺

My daughter was a late bloomer too. But you’re the mother, you know him better than anyone. My daughter didn’t start phrases till she was almost two and a half though.

My son was a late bloomer in the talking department to be honest. His pediatrician told us he needed speech therapy for the same reasons. He was 2 when we tried speech therapy. We took him to about 3 sessions. I honestly didnt like that specific one. She never gave me feedback on things I could do or on him, just that he should come back. So we worked with by communicating with him at home more frequently than usual. My son picked it up quick and hes 3 now and talks so much omg .

Everyone has their preference. Some parents like speech therapy it I wanted to work with my son. Hes only 1 of you feel he will pick it up then wait. Unless you want to see results right away. Some little ones just go on their own pace tho. Lol

I started my son at 1.5 y old the teacher came to my house twice a wk for an hour long n once he turned 3 y old I put him n pre sch 5 days a wk three hours long n speech class twice a wk at sch after the first month he turned around n started talking fast I saw a diff right away.... this isn’t second year of sch now n is doing really well

@bosslady well when she comes he says one words and more babbling but shes says for hes age he should make more word pharses but when hes with me he does he likes too say whats that, whos that, hello, bye, oh , ect. He'll be 2 soon so idk

@_sheriee hey there, so my boy is in at home base school program and its like 1 hour once a week thing. Well recently the teacher commented that derrick might need speech thearpy but idk if he really does need it!
