So this bump showed up sometime yesterday I believe on my daughters thigh. Looks about the same size…

My little man had his 1 year shots yesterday and we were told that a similar reaction could occur between 5 and 12 days after because of one of the shots (he had three so I don’t remember which one). I don’t know if you have an emergency health line in Ohio that you could call to talk to a nurse like we have here, but I would give them a call if you do, just for reassurance. I’m sure it’s what we were told could happen.

It is normal same happend to my son and I freaked out . just massage it . it should clear up

Thanks ladies! At first I was like ok whatever it’s normal but then it was hot when I touched it and I freaked out a little lol. I overthink too much sometimes haha then I got to thinking that’s where she got her shots at.

I’m sure I’ll forget by next week and freak out as well if it happens to my son. 🤪

@miraclebaby37, haha it’s different when it’s someone else and their kid. But as soon as it’s yours it’s like omg I hope this is ok. I hope it’s normal. Like I’m fine when it comes to myself and others. I can usually diagnose the problem. But my baby, I freak out and my mind goes to the worse things. 😂😑 that’s what I get for going to nursing school lol. This is why I’ll never work in Pediatrics lol

Definitely looks and sounds like a mild reaction to the vaccine. Cold compress should help if it’s still feeling hot. Completely normal. I’m a nurse and work in pediatrics... I see this all the time.
