How long before you noticed it taking effect?

I am going to give it a try. I am super paranoid about progesterone too lol! Ever since I started MC I had a strong feeling that's where the issue was and now temps are making me feel even stronger about it. I have read that some women start at 500mg and increase to 1000 over time so I think I'll try doing it that way. Maybe I will see improvements gradually in my chart. Yes my midwife didn't even test mine when I told her my LP was only 9 days.

I have to have an OB now due to having preterm labor with my boys and she thought I was nuts. I know she will fight me on it but I'll get my way to have it tested lol.

Ditto on the below. I'm paranoid about my progesterone bc of my mc and low LP temps. Taking 400mg of Vitex this cycle. When I had my mc I remember my OB saying my progesterone "looked good" but back then I didn't really know what was going on enough to ask specifics. Although she did mention putting me on progesterone next time which doesn't really make sense. If/when I get pregnant again, I'm going to ask for blood work immediately to monitor it.

We conceived the following month and then we got pregnant when he was 3 months old, and I didn't need progesterone then. He was likely a twin as I bled for a week and when I had my ultrasound my midwife thinks it was absorbed, it was at 5 weeks.

But anyways I take 1000mg, so two pills in the morning. I took 3 this cycle and I noticed it pushed back ovulation by 5 days so I definitely think that was too much for me. One of the ladies in the main board said one pill gave her better progesterone results than 9 rounds of clomid ever did.

How many mg of vitex do you take?

I too have a low progesterone issue and my LP is too short.

I started vitex 5 months ago and it increased my post O temps and my LP from 9 days to 12 days.

@blondie omg that's so crazy! AS SOON as I started MC last month, something just told me progesterone was probably an issue. My ob didn't check it w/betas until I told her to. That's when she confirmed MC. Level was only 3.8 at 6 weeks. I've been doing so much research on this matter ever since and it seems my temps def indicate the issue is in my LP temps...this could also be why I never naturally conceived until 33 years of age. THANK YOU SO MUCH for showing me that article. I'm going to call my dr next week to discuss! ☺️☺️☺️☺️

I have no clue how long my LP is. ☹️ I started charting w/MC as my first af. Before MC I just assumed I wasn't fertile since I'm 34 and never conceived. My SO is SUPER fertile though. He has two sons with his ex.

Yeah I have a hard time distinguishing the difference. If you take toilet paper and put it on it, semen will absorb immediately. EW will not.

I think keep it like this because chances are with your temps it's accurate. Fx!
