Has anyone tried 23andMe (or something similar)? I am considering trying it out. My "father" has not been in my life since day 1. And it's always awkward asking my mom anything about him, not that she wouldn't tell me, but when you get pregnant at 20 and the guy splits I'm sure she didn't get a lot of family history. Honestly I don't want to speak with him either, but I would really like to know more about my heritage to feel a little more complete. So I was hoping someone would give me any experiences with using one of those tests. Good? Bad? Worth the money? How far back did it go? Any info would be helpful.
that would be very hood for you to know i found out that i had and older brother and recently found i had another brother that my dad gave up for adoption 32 years ago
@adri8192 I personally feel that he didn't want to be in my life so I'm not gonna go looking for him since he's obviously not looking for me. But 1 thing I do want to know is if I have siblings. My mom got married and they never had kids. So being the only child sucked growing up. If I had siblings I would definitely want to know them since I was never given that option as a child. So this is the next best thing trying to learn family heritage this way.
I bought it for my mom. She loved it. We found out a lot of info.
i know how u feel my dad left my mom when she was pregnant with and i always felt a part of me missing and every birthday i wished if i was good enough that he would come. i met my dad when i was 21 in 2013 until this day im still trying to get to know him. i hot a hold of him through my grandpa my mom told me that my grandpas number was in the phone book
Yesterday I went out with my boyfriend went to watch a movie, me and him don't live together yet. but point is yesterday when he was dropping me off his like sleep over at my house witch the mom and dad lives. I said no,
his response was why is everyone deciding or making choices for you and their going to do the same with the baby, when I know that's not true. what he thinks is that my mom tells me not to sleep over. So he left all mad. and I felt in my heart that he went on and cheated on me...
Science!
My friend posted this on facebook last night and said her kids were asleep within minutes. It's a song that scientists created to help people fall asleep. I was skeptical but I thought what the hay, I'll try it out. I didn't bank on Dh falling asleep, but both him and lo were asleep by minute 2. And lo slept six straight hours. ?

A Statement from Mom.Life:
Hey everyone!
Last night, a new user began messaging our moms asking for private pictures of toddlers and young children. This is obviously unacceptable behavior, and the account was banned immediately. Although thankfully extremely rare on Mom.Life, several users were understandably upset by this, so we wanted to clarify a few things:
First off, Mom.Life has an absolute zero tolerance policy for child abuse and those who would prey on children. We strive to ...
the amount of women who are clueless about their own anatomy is so sad and shocking. a lot of the women are older than me and have more children then I do 😳
now I understand that everyone has their own opinion on the topic and grown adults can do whatever they want with their bodies but to deny facts and make up false statements about your own anatomy when it comes to your unborn child is just so disappointing.

So at work we have a drink thief. Any time we put a drink in the fridge it disappears. I swear I know who it is. So far he's taken drinks from everyone that works in the office, we even put a sign to not take anything you didn't pay for and wrote our names on the drinks. The person I think is taking them works out of the office so we never get to see who is drinking them.
i contacted one of them we talk quite often but the one that was adopted i have no clue on where to look im trying to find him
