Does everyone get a growth ultrasound? A couple of weeks ago that i was in the hospital they said he looked smaller than what he should be but said everything else was fine. At my last check up my Dr. said “small baby” and continued by saying i needed a growth ultrasound which I scheduled it for tomorrow... should i be worried??
I’m extremely small so it was no shock that my son was a smaller baby. If you’re smaller, I wouldn’t give myself anxiety unless they tell you that something is specifically wrong.
@yesicondaa, You don’t have to worry about it! Maybe this is the way you are carrying! When I was 37 weeks, doctor told me to do an ultrasound, I was measured 35 weeks. Baby was still growing, he just was sitting to low in my belly))
Thank you! Im hoping if anything is alarming theyll tell me right then and there
@yesicondaa, My clinic releases results to my online chart within 48 hours. I believe I got mine the same day. Hoping for the best for you!
@aengs2, i hope nothing is wrong when i get my results. Did you get them same day? Or you waited until your doctor reviewed/called you?
@nlock, im glad she was fine im just gonna pray everything goes well tomorrow and i get good news.
My clinic only does a growth scan if there's a concern. Otherwise they don't do one. I had one with my son due to an umbilical cord issue.
My dr is concerned that my baby is too big so im getting an ultrasound Tuesday to check his weight.
@yesicondaa, no they just did a lot of tests on her when she was born . They did glucose tests on her before I feed her every time they tested the placenta they let her be right there with me the entire time though.
@nlock, did she have to stay in the nicu? Im just scared of the risks if my baby stays in longer and doesn’t grow.
And she is still small now she’s going to be 1 next week and is still walking around wearing 6-9 months clothing
I had a few of those with my daughter . She was completely healthy at birth she was just not growing in utero. She was 4lbs 14.5oz like I said she was healthy just small. Unless they tell you you have to worry I wouldn’t worry to much.
Yesterday I went out with my boyfriend went to watch a movie, me and him don't live together yet. but point is yesterday when he was dropping me off his like sleep over at my house witch the mom and dad lives. I said no,
his response was why is everyone deciding or making choices for you and their going to do the same with the baby, when I know that's not true. what he thinks is that my mom tells me not to sleep over. So he left all mad. and I felt in my heart that he went on and cheated on me...
Yesterday's estimated weight on my baby during the ultrasound he weighed 7lb 11oz do you think he will fit into newborn clothes the day he's born ? if he comes out at around 8lbs? Or should I take 0-3 just in case ??
Ok so not using actual numbers.. But everyone knows I'm over weight since having my girls. It's no secret. BUT i was talking with my hubby last night and idk how we got to this but he said something like (not using actual numbers) no one should weigh 800lbs, they should take care of themselves. And i said so what if someone weighs 800lbs? He said no one should weigh that, they should be healthier. I said well i almost weigh 800! I'm in the 790s. And I'm healthy. I may be overweight but i don't h...
So on my last ultrasound they had told me I was having a boy, then when I went in to the L&D as an emergency they did an ultrasound to check if the baby was okay and the ultrasound guy was being really nice and said " do you guys know what ya' are having" I said yes and he said let's check and he said looks like you're having a girl .. So I told my dr and she said she would schedule an ultrasound and she hasn't done it, I just don't want to go in labor and find out I'm having a girl and not a bo...
My doctor said he would induce my labor at 38 weeks, if my baby girl still had growth issues and if the percentile dropped to 10 or less. Last thursday, it was 10 percentile, and he said if she didn't come on her own by 38 weeks, he would induce labor at that time. I'm 36 weeks 1 day today, he said my cervix was super thin, and 1cm dilated. Is there a possibility this can change... that my doctor will let her just come on her own? I don't want to be induced, i would much rather her come on her ...
I'm having one on Tuesday because when I was 35weeks baby was measuring 33 -_-
