Question My SO’s oldest son is coming to our house for a few weeks. We pick him up from the airport…

I was thinking the same! My SO thinks ‘I’m doing too much’ lol but his son comes to stay with us once a year. Kind of a big deal!

@p-b-jelly, he lives with his mom in a different state and it’s summer vacation. It’s what works best for his mom. And we respect her wishes.

@rayofmysunshine, Same with us. My stepson lives 8 hours away and we don’t get to see him often either. When he was younger we were able to get him more. But now he is almost 17 and plays football so he doesn’t spend the summers with us anymore. Now we only get to see him at Christmas and spring break if he wants to come. It’s tough!

My oldest will be 11 in a month. We should get together while he's in town so the boys can play!

@yayacarrington, if timing permits! My So has all kinds of plans already. I have had to put together a planner just for his visit lol

@blueismycolor, it is tough! I’m happy he’s still young enough to want to hang out with us lol.

I wouldn’t combine it with the holiday because he may not feel it’s for him (just my opinion) I’d do like a welcome home and colourful decorations just for him then maybe switch it up for the holiday!

It’s settled. I’m decorating for both occasions! Lol I’ll just so my SO this when he says anything haha
