So they removed the device to soften my cervix this morning and then they inserted a balloon device to help me dilate. The balloon is supposed to stay in for up to 12 hours but it came out on it's on about 2 hours later and I had dilated 4 more centimeters so I am at 5 cm now! I immediately started contracting once the balloon went in and I am still contracting. The doctor has to decide if she wants to start pitocin. I havent had any pain meds yet.
