Yes, my son was. By age 2, def have him evaluated by a speech pathologist and he/she will let you know if speech therapy is necessary.

Sometimes they know more than we think. They won't use the words they know...and then bam they won't be quiet lol.

@sofie321 i know he does. He understands clearly and listen qhen i talk to him.. but maybe it has to do with having 2 languages at the same time

@eze.love yes definitely. We speak multiple languages at home. My little brother was confused and didn't attempt to even talk before 2...so I totally understand!

My daughter mixes 2 languages because I try to teach her my parent's language...and my husband solely speaks english with her. She took a while to talk as well. Sometimes I cave in and speak English, because it's just easier....but I mean the capacity they have to learn languages at this age is amazing....so why give up the opportunity...keep it up!!

@sofie321 he knows 3.. but i only speak to him french and english.. my family goes with spanish when he sees them

If your considered bring it up to his doctor. My son needed extra help with speech and because he started earlier then school age it was easier for him

@sabrinab95 i compare him with myself lol.. he is almost 2 and he barely speak.. when i was 3 i was in school and i could read..

My son just turned 2. He says Yes like Dis. Very hung up on D words. Everything is dada. We're going to talk to a Dr about his speech soon, other then that he's very bright! Knows all his body parts and can follow instructions and listens to conversations.
