@fuhgeddaboudit, I have a big swing set and yard with him...he HAS to be outside anymore or he won’t nap, and he’s a grump ass...she was suppose to FEED him spaghetti o’s not let him eat them on the couch by himself....so I have a stain couch now....my kid never stays in I don’t know how any kid does...if it’s raining he’s out in the garage riding his bike around...100 degrees he doesn’t care he is outside! He was probably miserable! And she even tried hiding the fact that she never took him outside cuz she did know better

@paigerue2013, yes I love sending kids outside that way they don’t make messes indoors and take a long nap😂 I also have a 2 year old and she would sleep outside if I let her

A couple hours inside isn’t that serious. If it was just during your appointment I really don’t get the problem, maybe find a new sitter who will meet your expectations.

@melissaredfield87, yes glad someone understands! Especially with this pregnancy and my husband gone for the military and being in school o depend on those naps!!

@modom16, I was gone from 8-2....wasn’t a few hours....my OB has to do an emergency csection so I had to wait around forever

@modom16, and my husband is gone for the military usually I have a sitter, or not sitter it’s his dad, my little sister does know what is expected of her...especially coming home to a stain couch from spaghetti o’s I’m sure any other mom would be pretty upset too

I understand that you’re upset and feel that your sister should have known these things. If your sister doesn’t routinely watch your child, she may have forgotten some of your expectations. Please don’t be too hard on her.

I have 5 kids of my own, and have a certain way I like things done. However, I have to keep in mind that the family members that help me out have their own way of doing things as well. My MIL does great with my kids, but sometimes she uses my sister-in-laws relaxed set of rules with my kids. I just have to remember that she was doing me a favor and not to rant at her if I’m having a rough day and my expectations were not met the way I wanted them. If my kids are still safe and are happy, that’s the thing I focus on. If I have a mess to clean up, I remind myself things could be worse; instead of spaghetti o’s it could’ve been blood I was cleaning up.

I know you’re disappointed and frustrated, but please take a breath and calm down. Please look at this from your sisters perspective. Maybe she wasn’t feeling like her normal self. Maybe she was having a bad day too. Maybe she forgot the expectations. But at least your son was safe, fed, and happy. That’s what really matters at the end of the day, isn’t it?

I know your upset she didnt take care of your son the way you expected her. But, try to remember she was helping you... whether you paid her or not. Now she understands that she must take your son outside to play.
