I feel like Jacob is still drinking and eating to much for his age he's 7 monthsand he's still pretty small and he will cry none stop even after I try everything else until I feed him taking him to the doctor tomorrow but what do u guys think??
@laniejay thank you and on that note everyone thinks he's a preemie beacuse of his size but he's not he was born 38+3 7.3lbs
@laura.lorentsen33 I have tryed he won't eat it I tryed to start him on plan and they said not to much grains as it can upset his belly because of how heavy it is 🤷
@lexy0610, ugh. So frustrating. I have a former micropreemie so I completely understand how crazy it can be with specialists. I hope they figure it out soon!! Keep up the good work mama.
@lexy0610 okay I understand but is there not another single food that you could give him other than banana? Could you try him with plain unflavored oatmeal or have you been told to avoid grains?
@laniejay and 2/3 times a month with his pediatrician 10 doctors 7specialist 3 weeks in the hospital and 200 test later still no answers 😲 🤦🤦🤦😭
@laniejay I have had some meats and veggies and now I'm on to fruits and yes I have doctors appointments 1 once every other week at the hospital and waiting for results from 7 deffernt specialist
@lexy0610, wow. Is he seeing an endocrinologist or any other follow up other than the pediatrician? Can you spoon feed him cereal before a bottle instead- or start with protein like chicken? He’s old enough, but I don’t know considering his health issues. Protein would likely fill him rather than something he can’t digest.
@laura.lorentsen33 I have tryed him on other food but because of past hospital stays I have been told to do one food for a week's time I was told not to mix until we can figure some stuff out
@laniejay his pediatrician told me to do the rice in the bottle and he was in the hospital for 3 weeks for drinking and eating to much and trust me I try everything before I feed him he will not stop until he eats or drinks when he was in the hospital he was drinking 16 oz every 3 hours they couldn't find out why
My son is 7 months and has been spoon fed cereal since 3.5 months. At 4 months he was consuming 50oz a day of formula.... He currently gets 3 meals a day with 2 to 4 tablespoons per meal of a variety of cereals with a quarter to three quarters of the pouches of a variety of purees (banana on its own isn't very filling) and he gets 3 to 4 7oz bottles a day. He no longer gets any overnite. He gets water only not formula with his meals. And water on demand through the day. My son is not rolly Polly or chubby he has very distinguished features but is in the 85th percentile for growth. My doctor said once they pass 4 months start on food and as they get hungrier do not increase formula increase the real food. But you need to feed cereal in order for them to get enough iron as that is really important (I have problems with anemia myself and it's not something you want for your child) not being pushy or trying to offend everyone but every child is different and most can digest food way earlier than pediatric recommendation. Also the pediatric society is reviewing the don't feed before 6 month rule as it is actually making allergies more prevalent in children not less as was the original purpose for that start age not digestion concerns... hope some of this helps
That’s way too much especially with cereal in it too. He’s probably crying with an upset stomach not hunger. They don’t know the difference. His poor belly is probably so stretched out. Cereal in a bottle is a choking hazard- I’d stop that ASAP. He’s old enough to eat from a spoon, but honestly rice cereal is too high in arsenic and empty calories since they can’t digest grains until closer to 9-12 months. I’d look into things like reflux (they mistake the burn for hunger) and pace feeding. He may need to eat slower so his body realizes he’s full.
@maddoxsmama I'm not sure going in tomorrow to see his wieght
@bw4b the doctor told me two months ago to start to put rice cereal in his bottle I have been every bottle
Seems like a lot!
Is the dr concerned about his weight? Maybe introduce water in between some of the feedings?
I don’t know the situation very well but maybe it’s just a growth spurt? I know when my oldest was really gassy, he would eat to soothe himself. Maybe he needs more solids? Like rice cereal as it’s more filling? Hope you find some answers :) :)
@roth1321 yes that's what Im thinking I'm just like ughh!! What is it ! They never found anything when we stayed at the hospital for this reason
I think you should definitely mention it, that’s a lot of milk for such a little guy! Seems like maybe something else is going on.
Honestly still just so tired of being a mom but if i did adoption if never see him i wish someone else could care for him but i still see him often or even if i got a ray off every week to live. I just dont wana be his primary caregiver :(
advice needed!
my 7 year old son still wets the bed at least 3 times a week, I've taken him to see a specialist and he's fine, but nothing helps I don't allow him to drink anything after 6pm, I make him use the restroom before bed and I wake him up in the middle of the night and he still wets his self, my 4 year old son never be any accidents and this is just so frustrating should I punish him because I don't feel like he even tries to avoid wetting his self
Zero sex life
Me and my SO have absolutely no sex life anymore and it's really starting to get to me. I try and give him hints and still nothing. I feel like he's not attracted to me anymore and it's really starting to upset me /: is anyone else having this problem?
Okay now that I'm 35 weeks pregnant I totally thought my husband would NOT want to have sex with me. But no. lol he's still wants it twice a day I'm like goodness I get cramps every time now! I love him but dang I thought me complaining all the damn time would make him not want to 😂🤦🏻♀️🙄 #pregnancyissues #pregnantmamawantsabreak

He's so tiny. Day #2 and I still haven't held him. I sang to him and he stopped crying. And I got to change his diaper. They are taking him off the oxygen machine and inserting a tube instead because he's straining himself. Prayers are greatly appreciated ladies! Thank you!
I hope you can get some answers soon, I’m sure this is unsettling. Keep faith, they will figure it out. 🙏🏼❤️
