New car seat!! HELP!!
My lo is 20 months. Almost two for those of you who hate the counting by months thing. Lol?
My son has the Chicco NextFit. He's had one since we moved up to a convertible seat at about 9 months old, and he was RF in it until almost 4 years old when he hit the weight limit for it rf. He's tall and was perfectly comfortable rear facing. He'll be 5 in a few weeks, and is still in it, just FF now. What I like about it is it's SUPER easy to tighten the LATCH system, so if you have to move it from car to car ever, it's very quick. And it is adjustable to 9 levels of recline, so if fits RF in even very compact cars.
We have the safety first 3 In one and love it its just a pain to install we just bought a graco extend2fit b.c Wal-Mart has them for 159 online and do price match b c she is 80% height and its okay.... The shoulder straps are really weird and idk I love my safety first 3in1 I just like the extend to fit part on the graco.
I'm with Bebe. We have the Diono. It's slim so it doesn't take up a lot of room, but it has a steel frame, so it's a tank. It's also great for taller kids. We had the Birtax and it had a smaller frame and my son looked super uncomfortable in it. The Diono goes to 120 lbs so it will be your convertible, your high back booster and your backless booster. My 2 year old has been in it since 9 months and my 5 year old is still in a five point harness in his. We have 3 Dionos.
He'll be much more comfortable in the convertible seat ☺ The weight requirements are different on eachbseat for rearfacing, so just be sure to read the manual.
We have a Britax Marathon click tight. Definitely pricey, but those steel bars on the sides make it worth it to me. Britax isn't the only company to do steel frames, though, so there are other options if that's on your must-have list.
Definitely time to get out of the infant seat. And he will have more leg space.
Check out the graco line of convertibles. They are a good quality without breaking the bank. We have the graco contender for my almost 11 month old. I believe it rear faces until 45 pounds then forward faces with the harness until 65 pounds. Which will last you a very long time. My daughter is 6 and still ff in a harness.
His current seat is not forward facing. Its just an infant seat. I'd like to get one thats both rear and forward facing so I can keep him rear facing for a while but his current seat has been adjusted as far as it will go and his legs have to lean up at such an awkward angle. Eta
I haven't had him for the last few months because his dad was keeping him from me. Our parenting plan is in place now and I feel his dad should have gotten him a bigger one sooner. Im hoping to buy one he will be able to use for the next few years, one that converts for several different stages.
So in the link there are several kids with their legs all squished up like that. They are really ok like that??
He has a graco now. Im willing to keep rear facing him as long as necessary. I just feel bad for his little legs.
Is 2 the best time to forward face or by weight. He's short but his legs are all squished up in the seat he has now.
Where did you ladies purchase them? In store or over the internet ?
We have the graco milestone. I love it! Rf to 40 lbs, ff in harness to 65 and seatbelt from 40 up. My lo had to ff before 2 because she outgrew her old convertible rf, but could have in this one u til 4 when 40 lbs and is in the 90% for height. It was around $200 maybe $210 but does go I sale sometimes. And we got pink which was a bit more because our daughter liked that color best. And it lasts 10 years.

We finally did it after 10 months!!!!

9 month in vs 9 month out 🎈
Starting TWW. Anyone else?
I had a stillborn daughter at 38 weeks this passed Nov. This is my second month ttc. (Last month we only tried for like two weeks though). My last and only pregnancy, I got pregnant the first month of ttc so I hope it's quick this time again.
Just got my one month old to pee AND poop in the potty ☺️ #godiaperfree
Short Luteal Phase?
I've just started temping because I believe that the reason I haven't had a BFP yet, after 20 months, is because I believe I may have a Luteal Phase Defect.
We have the Diono Radian RXT and love it for the same reasons pp's mentioned!
IF we ever have another child, we will definitely buy a second.
