Will the nipple heal if I continue to pump/ nurse

Try using a nipple shield until it heals. You can find them pretty much anywhere that has other breastfeeding supplies like target or the grocery store. The pink is because of blood. They say it's still ok for baby but I just can't get over it personally. My second son was born last week and my right side got really cracked and bled. So I hand expressed enough to relieve engorgement for a day or two and put lots of lanolin on it. (Pumping could also help but since my new supply is still regulating I chose to hand express so that my body wouldn't produce even more milk). Then we used the nipple shield so he could empty that side without reopening the wounds. Healed in a few days.

You're welcome. Cracked/injured nipples suck and I hope you find some relief :)
