So ridiculous. After eight months of nursing and pumping my right boob STILL can't keep up. I pumped more than 5 oz out of the left. Wtf??

My dd is 15 months and I've been ebf and pumping the entire time. My left boob is worthless. I can still only get 1 - 2oz out it while pumping while my right boob will get double the amount.

We always tend t have a dud and a stud. Someone told me it is related to the hand we use. Meaning my left hardly produces compared to my right and I was told that because I am left handed that side has more muscle than my right side so produces less. Who knows...

Mine did the same thing with my last two kids and now my left boob hangs a little lower then my right.

Do you switch off which side you start nursing on? That can sometimes make a difference. If you always start on the same side it might produce more.

Also, maybe you let down on the other side might be slower or it might not respond to the pump as well. I find I can eventually get more out of my "dud" left side if I just pump longer on that side - which is super annoying when using a double electric so it usually doesn't happen.

The stud and the dud. My left will produce 8-10oz at a time. My right is lucky to produce 4oz. It's irritating.

Super normal to have a dominant and a slacker boob.

That's normal, I believe (I could be wrong) it's not common for both boobs to produce the same amount, the side that your baby feeds from more often is gonna make more.

Breast pump covered by insurance

I've already done what I needed to find out what type of pump I get covered through insurance. It turns out, with my insurance, I can't even get my pump shipped to me until I call them with all the birth details of my baby. So...wth am I supposed to do having a baby and no pump?! I plan to pump exclusively and this REALLY throws a wrench in my plans.

You may want to ask your doctor for a prescription for a hospital grade pump if you
