He's probably just more comfortable with his dad because he sees him more. At some point it will change and you will walk through the door and the sun will rise and set upon you. Don't let it get to you, momma.

My son acts like that with me too. I get so upset about it and my SO always throws it in my face. I work and he just retired so he is a stay at home dad.

It's probably just because he is with him more. My son was the same way with my husband at that age. Now he is 10 months and he gets so happy when daddy comes home from work.

We had the opposite with my son because I stayed home but by the time he was around 9/10 months daddy was the best person ever! If he hears the front door open he speed crawls to it saying 'dadadada". Don't worry he'll do a 360 at some point and your SO will end up jealous of you.

My boys have both loved their dad so so much (the favorite for sure!) and I felt sad at times in the past. For one he was the sahd and for the other, not - so I could not use it as a reason.

Now they are 5 and 2 and things have totally balanced out, if not swung to the other direction.

Just know it will all change and evolve. :)
