I know I still have time but I’m curious to know what to pack for me and the baby when he comes..? My first born was 10 weeks early and unexpected so I didn’t pack a bag for me or him (obviously) so ladies!! What do I need to pack?
@mvbreaux, covered my insurance ????? Tell me moreeeeeee how how how ? lol
@yeneyhom, with my first I had the spectra s2 and absolutely LOVED it. I was back and forth between spectra and medela but soooo many people recommended spectra over medela who had used both so that’s what I went with. It’s hospital grade. My pumps are covered 100% through insurance. This time around I’m still planning on using my S1 but I also decided to get the spectra 9Plus for when we go on trips or go visit family that lives a few hours away.. it’s much smaller and has a rechargeable battery. (Literally the size of a soda can!)
I’m hoping we can be successful nursing like I was with my first, I pump for if I’m away from baby and to have a backup supply in the freezer.
I’d definitely suggest looking into a spectra though! My aunt used a few different pumps and said the spectra was by far her favorite also!
Me: pjs, comfy nursing bra, clothes for going home, bathroom items(shampoo, conditioner, body wash, toothbrush toothpaste, etc.) chargers, breast pump (Bc I love my pump and already know how to use it). Pads.
Baby: swaddle blanket, hats, pjs and going home outfit. My hospital provides all the diapers needed for baby.
@yeneyhom, lol! Call your insurance to see if/what they cover. MOST insurances nowadays are required to cover the cost of breast pumps! Ours covers 1 electric pump per pregnancy and however many manual pumps I would need. I haven’t gotten a manual one. But I got my second pump already and it’s paid for by my insurance! Definitely look into that Bc I know pumps get pricey!
