Hi, I’m new here! :) My husband and I have a daughter who is almost 3, we had no trouble getting pregnant with her and in January 2017 decided to try for baby #2. Since then I’ve been charting everything each month and using Opk’s without luck. I had my first appointment with a fertility doctor 2 days ago and was diagnosed with secondary infertility :(
My cycle is all over the place, sometimes I ovulate on CD 14 and sometimes -like right now, I’ll ovulate cd 18+. Since I’m new, our plan right now is to do blood work 3dpo to check my progesterone levels to make sure I truly ovulated, my husband is submitting a sample for semen analysis, and from there we will start either clomid or letrozole. If that doesn’t work we will consider iui or ivf.
Anything I should know? Thanks ladies and good luck to you all!
I have been trying since January of 2017 as well. No luck! January, February, March, and April of this year we did letrozole plus trigger shot plus timed intercourse with no luck as well.
I had all tests done and there are no blockages. My husband did a semen analysis 3 months ago and everything was fine expect low morphology. We took off for a month of trying. Saw fertility doctor last week and we are going to try IUI. Just waiting for June to end to see if I get a cycle. If no cycle then will start the process for IUI. My DH and I are 24 with no children.
Best wishes and hopefully you get answers and better yet, a beautiful baby!
@lovebeingamom, my husband and I have been trying to get pregnant since January 2017, and each month we’ve been using opks to track ovulation. We haven’t got pregnant since then. In December 2017 I had an ultrasound done to check my lining, follicles, and for cysts and everything at that time looked great. Anyhow, I eventually made an appointment with a fertility doctor and we had our appointment 6/4/18- a year and a half after unsuccessfully trying and she diagnosed us.
I went in for blood work on Friday and my husband goes in Monday to submit his semen analysis. June 25 I go in for another ultrasound to check everything again. And from there, if we don’t get any clue as to what’s going on, we will start letrozole or clomid, and possibly set up a test to check for any Fallopian tube blockages.
