Did anybody else’s labor start off with menstrual like cramps?
I have had menstrual cramps on and off throughout the entire day, very inconsistent and ranging from 20-30 seconds.
Just curious if anyone else experienced this before going into labor and when did it start changing to more consistent, longer, and stronger contractions? I also had a doctors appointment today and she told me I was 70% and 2cm dilated.

Well that's how they started for me 😊 if they are true contractions they won't go away from walking or laying down.
Following! I'm 38.4 weeks pregnant at my last appointment at 37 wks I was told I was 1cm dialated and 70% effaced I've been experiencing menstrual like cramps as well. I hope its the start of labor!
@kambam, I got my cervix checked at about 1pm. I’ve had the cramps since 6am.
I had those cramps the day of labor. They got worse and worse within a few hours. If you just had a cervix check that might be why you're cramping
@june15th, me too. Mine aren’t very painful at all yet either. Just uncomfortable and not the best feeling like regular menstrual cramps.
