#Birthstory
I thought it'd be cool to tell my birth story
I was 36 weeks and I was going in for my weekly with my ob/gyn. At that point, I had been having a massive headache that lasted for a week and nothing I did helped. So before I could tell her about what was going on, she took my blood pressure and it well over what it was supposed to be. She took it twice just to make sure. Then she came back and told me she was going to admit me into the hospital for a night on some medication to see if it was going to go down. So she sent me to the hospital and by the time I made it to the hospital, my blood pressure had gone even higher so she said instead of keeping you overnight, we're going to deliver you because it's become dangerous for the both of you. I was not prepared. My hair was a mess, I looked dead. And I had it all planned out. I wanted to do my hair and makeup and lord knows I needed to. This was my first time so it was nothing like I thought it would be.

So at that point, I was calling my boyfriend and my family to let them know it was time. Everyone was at least an hour away but my doctor told me nothing would be taking place for a while. I was then being induced. She broke my water and that was so very weird. I thought it'd be just like a balloon which it was but no one tells you that it just keeps going making you constantly feel like you're peeing. Then I was given a drug two drugs, both to help the baby. And of the two one of those had me really loopy. Everyone is there now and I'm 1 centimeter. I was like that for a good 4 hours then I started to feel the pain at about 3 centimeters. The pain was unbearable for me by now so I requested the epidural even though that was not the plan. The epidural scared me even more than the contractions because my entire lower half just went limp. I couldn't move and that is so scary to know you have no control over what your body does. So I cried and cried until I went to sleep. Then I woke up just in time cause even though I didn't feel anything I knew my baby was ready. Cause I called the nurse and told her to come check and just like that, my daughter's head was poking out. So I had my mom on one leg and my boyfriend on the other holding my legs while I tried to push. And let me tell you that was so hard cause I didn't know what I was doing because I didn't feel anything. So at some point, I stopped pushing and told everyone that I give up, that I didn't want to anymore. And everyone was like you have to, she almost there now. So I did and she came out and after that I was so hopped up on drugs and exhausted, I don't remember much else. I was told what happened after.
