Maybe I'm petty, but I called off my baby shower today.as my MIL was planning it and I requested politely she not invite a couple of her relatives, they were very very rude towards me the last time I saw them and hardly ever talk to them as is. I get it the moreyou invite the more you get, but I don't feel I have to surround myself with people who disrespect me and include people like that in my son's life.
Most people that you don't want there jus come for free food n drinks or just to b nosey so they can go back. I'd say what they saw n heard
Not petty. I called off my baby shower and am so glad I did. Having a small bbq instead when baby arrives. My mom got upset with me because I told her to stop inviting her friends and family members I didn’t approve of. I was also doing most of the planning which became more stressful than fun. You don’t need the stress/drama.
I say good for you for setting you’re boundaries. Too many people don’t get this.👏🏻
Yea free stuff is not worth enduring the disrespect it's not that serious and she should respect your wishes after all it's ur shower not hers...thas just my opinion
Yesterday I went out with my boyfriend went to watch a movie, me and him don't live together yet. but point is yesterday when he was dropping me off his like sleep over at my house witch the mom and dad lives. I said no,
his response was why is everyone deciding or making choices for you and their going to do the same with the baby, when I know that's not true. what he thinks is that my mom tells me not to sleep over. So he left all mad. and I felt in my heart that he went on and cheated on me...
I told my friend my mom wants to throw me a baby shower and write on the invite "monetary gifts only" and he told me that people aren't trying to pay for my "gas bill" I'm offended because a lot of money goes into a baby shower, and if you're gonna give me a 10$ blanket from Ross that I probably won't even use it's a waste. I rather use those 10$ for my honest company diaper subscription.
Birth Plan Rant
I used to be all about getting an epidural, but after research and thinking about it more I want to have an unmedicated birth (this is my first baby). What annoys me is when I say that I'm going to TRY my hardest to have a natural and unmedicated birth people always feel the need to say that I'm crazy or that I'm going to change my mind when I get in that position. Or that epidurals are the best. I do realize that plans change, but why can't people be supportive and encouraging?
Help my kids are getting very clingy lately how do I get them to stay off of me!!
Natural Birth
Any moms out there given birth without meds? I have people asking me all the time if I'm going to get the epidural and I say no I will try my hardest not to. And some of them tell me that I will have in an get it, or they look at me like I'm crazy lol my sister in law, who is pregnant now with her first, told me there's no way I can do it without the epidural. She's getting the laughing gas.
