I need some help mamas!! My daughter hates her car seat 🙄 today we change her car seat for the one where she can face to the front, but girlll it’s the same she’s always crying making her show and I can’t drive like that she acts like someone’s it’s killing her 😩 any suggestions? How do I calm her down? Any help?
She should definitely still be rear facing for her safety 😊 her bones are still so fragile. Being front facing is very dangerous for someone so little. I would recommend turning her back around and getting a mirror, or toys that hook onto the head rest of the seat of the car she’s in and letting her work out of this. Turn on some music and talk to her. She’s going to have to figure out on her own that crying isn’t going to get her out of the seat. She’ll eventually accept that her car seat is just something she has to be in for a bit until you take her out 😊
I live in California too✌️ and like these other mommies said babies need to be rear facing until 2 by law here 😊. It is so nice to see you were open ears to the advice instead of being offended 🙌🙌
@nathalysuarez16, if it’s on the market it’s safe 😀. Just be sure both you and your husband read the instruction manual. And read it again when it’s time to turn the seat- instructions on belt placement and latch change. What’s nice is you can always find the manual online if you lose it. :)
I am so so so happy you took these other mamas advice 🤗. Where I live baby has to be rear facing until 2. We just turned ours around at 2.5. I would have kept her rear facing longer, but she was having the worst tantrums and would take me 30 minutes to get her inside, not sure what it was but when we turned it she was better. When we had her in the infant seat she hated it, so we moved her to the convertible seat early at probably 2 months and it worked like a miracle. We use the Safety 1st grow and go. It’s pretty cost effective and lasts from newborn through childhood and eventually turns into a booster. It’s pretty comfy, but takes a lot of effort do tighten when installed- maybe that’s all car seats though? On long car rides we take our daughters tablet and let her watch her music shows.
I would go to babies r is their car seats are 40 percent off so yo can get a comfy one for cheap!
Looks like she’ll be safe and comfy! The weight on this one is 5-40 lbs rear facing, you’ll be able to use it for plenty of time before you have to think about getting a new one!
Graco is a great brand that you can buy some fairly inexpensive car seats! She should be in a convertible car seat. If you google “convertible car seats” you can see there are tons to choose from 😊 if her 6 year old used it, it could very well be out of date. I wouldn’t ever recommend using a previously used car seat as there could be damage to it. Always buy new when you’re getting a car seat, if you can 😊 hopefully @squishymommy1 will see this and can answer more of your questions! Good for you for wanting to turn her back to rear facing though! She will be so much safer! ❤️
The rear facing with extendable leg room is pretty good!
Car seats expire at 7 years. Not to mention recalls. I like graco car seats
@tennesseehawk, @lovefaithkindness, omg i didn’t know she has to still rear facing 😱 i thought the instructions where correct on the cars seats omg this is the last time my daughter goes front facing thank you mamas!! Any suggestions on a good car seat? We’re going to buy a new one because of the one that we have it’s used a friend of mine give to me... her 6 years old used so I’m pretty sure it’s not for my daughter right?
Nooo mama. She should still be rear facing. My three year old and 14 month old still rear face comfortably. @squishymommy1, is a car seat tech. I’m sure she would be more than happy to answer any questions you have. But she absolutely can still rear face 😊
When my son was lil he got him a DVD player that u out on head rest n worked perfect
She is still to young and could be seriously hurt if you got in an accident
@nathalysuarez16 car seat should still be facing rear facing because of her age and a pacifier
@lovefaithkindness, sorry but whats a binky? 🤔 still not good at English lmao
@tennesseehawk, but i thought she has to be facing to the front now, because of her weight? :$ that’s what the cars seats said right ?

@lovefaithkindness, I always seat with her, my husband drives all the time and she does the same not so big because I’m with her so I try to call her down but when it’s only me and her ohh boyyy I can’t deal with that
@tennesseehawk, she’s barely going to be 1
How old is she? Unfortunately a car seat is just a part of childhood. There is no way around it. Both of my kids hated their seats also. I would make sure nothing was hurting them but just had to let them scream until we got to where we were going. They both stopped screaming so badly around 15 months/ish.
Maybe she has separation anxiety. Maybe she feels like your gone when she sits back there alone.
@lovefaithkindness, she has all that but there’s a point where she just don’t want anything and she start throwing everything and cry
