@jessig2006, I'm weird about it because I wanna make it in time for the epidural. I don't wanna miss out on that opp.. but then I don't wanna leave to early for my maternity leave then I won't get the full time with the baby.
@jennyg51397 it's all in the position. Because Jensen was so far down his head stopped more water from coming out. With Kallan he didn't go into the birth canal until he was ready to shoot out. But they had to break my water at the hospital with him. I already had the epidural so I have no idea how much came out with him.
@jessig2006, does it make a difference on how much if it's your first child?
@jennyg51397 he was head down so it was like a little sneeze amount of pee and that was it lol I had no idea it was actually my water until we got to he hospital
Everyone is different. I worked Monday - Friday 6 am to 4 pm through our first two sons. With Jensen my water broke Saturday, he was born sunday and I worked the Friday before. With Kallan I went into work Monday and he was born Tuesday before 10 am lol
A few days after I turned 37 weeks because I was 4cm dilated and 70% effaced. I also have my babies early and boyfriend didn't want me to go into labor at work. My original plan was to work until I went into labor
I took mine 3 weeks ago and I'll be 40 weeks on Tuesday.
@mckinney032589, I guess time will tell and I'll see how far I can go
My dr made me leave at 36 weeks. I felt like I could’ve worked up to 38 but just took her advice anyways.
@jennyg51397, I’m 36 weeks.. I just stopped.. I do cna work too though but also has dialated to 4cm so just want to be ready and have body rested
I'm just curious, a lot of people said it depends on your body and what you can handle
@jennyg51397 I definitely get it. Listen to your body. I work for a small company. I only got 6 weeks of short term disability with my boys. That's only 60% pay for a 40 hr week. And with this one I won't get any because I changed to part time so I can go back to school. I've heard a ton of nightmare stories about epidurals. But I was already in so much pain I didn't feel anything at all. And I've never had any negative side effects after either. I wish I hadn't waited so long to get it with our first. It made delivery with our second so awesome. I was singing between pushing 😂 and I got a nice little nap before he popped out.
