when did you stop breastfeeding? I originally wanted to try and do 2 years. but, I don't make enough so we have to supplement, (or she eats too much), I don't enjoy being what I feel like a slave for food, (I have to watch what I eat because she's colicky) and I just don't feel that like "bond" people talk about.

Yesterday I went out with my boyfriend went to watch a movie, me and him don't live together yet. but point is yesterday when he was dropping me off his like sleep over at my house witch the mom and dad lives. I said no, his response was why is everyone deciding or making choices for you and their going to do the same with the baby, when I know that's not true. what he thinks is that my mom tells me not to sleep over. So he left all mad. and I felt in my heart that he went on and cheated on me and did something else with an other girl.... and it's 10:51 am now and he hasn't texted me at all. and after he dropped me off I texted him saying what I felt and nothing. I don't know if I'm over reacting or what or what should i do. do i wait until he text me?
So I have question I'm 23 weeks and I thought a 9 lbs weight gain was good but now I'm re thinking it what is normal at this stage is it to much I'm stressing out I am really watching what I eat and I really don't over eat sad mommy here 😔
I don't understand!!! ? What does it mean to "feel some type of way"?!? I keep seeing it all of a sudden and I feel like I misses the memo. I asked on a thread but nobody answered and it's still eating at me! Lol! I need someone to help me keep up with the youngsters. I'm old and lost. ?

@masseymomma16 glad to know I'm not the only one who feels depressed from breastfeeding. the media makes breastfeeding seem to "miraculous'

I stopped at 10 weeks, had to supplement the last 4 weeks. My supply was low and nothing worked to improve it. I felt so guilty but once I stopped I realized how stressful and depressing it was for me. I will not do that to myself for the next baby.

@cit0.bunni I just feel guilty because I know I can produce some, so some is better than none. & being a 1 income household, and formula being expensive, I feel like I have to do my end of the deal and breastfeed... if that makes sense?

I stopped when we got home from the hospital. My goal was also 2 years but it just didn’t work for me.

@swanson.jacquelyn it took me a bit to get over the guilt of not being able to give her what I thought I should have been able too but when I saw her suck down a bottle of formula like shes never eaten before I broke down. I felt like I was starving her and didn't know it.
We still bonded and my husband was able to bond more as well.

@cit0.bunni yeah combined I can max do 4oz once every 3 hours... and sometimes she eats 9oz!

I had to stop at 4 months since I wasn't producing enough. I tried everything and even when pumping I was only able to pump 1oz in a half hour

with my 1st a year and a Half she didn't want to sit still and be breastfed. it works for some people not for all I couldn't with my 2nd and I'm currently breastfeeding with my 3rd but I do still supplement with formula because he eats so much. you can still bond with bottle feeding
