Anyone else not really feeling the whole gender reveal party thing?

I had the thought of doing one before and decided not to.

I’m not doing one . In fact we are not even finding the gender out until birth .

@expectinggreatness, I got a call from my Dr. to let me know my results were in from testing. They said they knew sex too...I was like, nooo, I don’t want to know!! 😬😬😬

I don’t see the point in a gender reveal I mean your gonna have a baby shower later on. But to each their own I guess.

@kailgurl19xx, is this your first? Because I couldn’t wait with my first either girl! I found out it was a boy and went shopping soon as I got out! Also, with my second I just wanted to know if I was getting my girl! Same, went shopping as soon as I left that place. 😬😬😬 This is our 3rd baby, so it’s not as difficult to wait. It’ll be fun, since we already have one of each!

@kailgurl19xx, , yes, I will still have a baby shower . How about you ? @mommajules, it has been such a long journey to get to this point that we don’t even feel tempted to know . Just want a healthy pregnancy, delivery and baby . It’s very rare to get surprised as an adult , so this will be an awesome surprise at birth 💚

I was too excited when I got the call and she asked did I REALLY wanna know .. hell yeah I did !! Everybody was a little upset and I was thrilled because I got what I secretly wanted .. a Girl 💓💓

Haha, our gender reveal was when the nurse held him up the day he was born! We didn't want to know beforehand.

@mommajules yeah it is my first ...that's a cool idea since u have things for both genders already...my problem would be finding a name haha

@expectinggreatness, congratulations❤️ All we want is a healthy baby as well. We won’t be having a baby shower, and everyone is pretty bummed about that too. We’re thinking about having a “welcome home” dinner or get together once baby is here. Only for our close family and friends.

@mommajules girl that's a great idea!! Because im battling with the baby shower it's too much family drama over here and people making plans on top of the dates I picked lol thanks love 💓 💓💓

@kailgurl19xx, I do have a few things for the first couple of months from both my kids. Just have to have them ready. Everything else, like stroller, car seat, crib and stuff will be gender neutral. I can’t find any gender neutral clothes that I like. Oh, and the names I think I have names picked it already for both genders. Just have to wait and meet baby and see what fits☺️

@jordanrwilliams25, You want to avoid that drama! lol I mean this is our 3rd baby. We had baby showers for them. So, this time around I just want it to be more intimate I guess.

Us! Gender is not a big deal to us so we don't announce it. If someone asks, we tell them though.

@mommajules, yes! Hahaha. It drove people crazy that we waited. Which, honestly, was probably even more incentive for us to wait.

@nomli, yes! I am so excited to wait and find out. My mom really wants to know 😂😂😂and do do all family and friends

@mommajules, I like the idea of a welcome home party ! Sounds nice to have close family and friends meet the baby

@nomli, 😂😂 My sisters are actually excited about waiting, except my baby sister who wants to know so that she can buy stuff for the baby already! Everyone else can’t believe we’re actually going to wait!

@expectinggreatness, It’s a good compromise. Everyone is sort of complaining that they won’t know what to get the baby since they don’t know the gender. I figured something like this would work. 😊

@mommajules, I told everyone that it’s better to buy the baby necessities like diapers , wipes and things like that that don’t require knowing gender ...plus I’ve never seen newborns wear all those clothes people buy because they are cute..then the grow out of them too fast

@expectinggreatness, yes! In my experience with my previous babies everyone always buys the cute tiny 0-3 months or newborn anyway😂. Which is fine, I don’t really expect anything. We cloth diaper, so we won’t really be needing diapers.
