That’s what my son’s looks like. Our doc was supposed to refer us to get something done about it, but she hasn’t bothered or has forgotten. It doesn’t seem to bother anything, like his latch, so I’m leaving it.
My son has a lip tie as well as a tongue tie. They told me not to worry so long as he eats fine. And he’s now two and when I asked the dentist they said they usually cut it around age 4 or 5. Otherwise their teeth won’t grow together.
@jtaylorg, yes, definitely get it done then. I remember reading that if your lo I’d under 6mo, often it can be done with only a local anesthetic right in the office as opposed to an ER with general anesthesia. If it is affecting how she eats, she could be extra gassy as well due to the tie.
