The DIY stuff isn’t very good unfortunately, and I’m about as frugal as they come, so I’m not just being a Debbie downer. If you really want your clothes clean, it’s best to buy it.

Yup! I don't use my homemade detergent on them though, I use the Kirkland free & clear detergent for them

I make my own with 1 cup of Borax, 1 cup of washing soda, and a bar of grated Dr. Bronner's castile soap (I use a food processor to grate the soap and then add the Borax and washing soda to the food processor to mix it all together). I use 2 tablespoons of the powder per load load. I also put white distilled vinegar in a Downy ball as a natural fabric softener

I used to! I don't even have washer/dryer anymore though so I just use whatever is around lol

I used homemade detergent by one good thing by jillee or something like that for over a year. But honestly with HE washers I don’t felt that it worked well
