Okay ladies so I have a question, my mom went to buy my son a new car seat because he was too overweight and too tall for his other one so she got this one and it suggests to be used by a two-year-old or to be met by requirements and my son does well over meet the requirements as far as height and weight (in April he weighed 27.4oz and 28in) (won't get any new measurements til the 5th) do you think he will be okay for him to still use it or should I just hold off on it? He sits comfortable and what not and he loves it lol.
Please no bashing, just want advice. Thank you in advance
@mother.of.2 I don't have this specific car seat, but it looks great! If you need help with how to strap him in, post another pic when you get it 😉
@mother.of.2, ctfuuu that’s funny.
@shay2beautiful lol I was thinking, "we established the car seat already!!!! 😢😢😢" lmfao.
@mother.of.2, 😂😂 my nephew was playing with my phone
@melissa_luv228 thanks mama, going tomorrow to exchange and I'm really excited lol.
@shay2beautiful lmao, why you mad??
@mother.of.2 yes Cosco has great seats I've used them lots.
This is the brand my daughter uses when she is with my grandma. It can be a pain to install tho. My daughter is 30lbs (not sure on her height) and she has plenty of room left to grow before she out grows it. She is still rear facing also.
@roguemommyofjx3 I really would but since my husband only brings in 245 (first babymama child support) every two weeks and I can't work due to restrictions we are really tight on funds rn so my mom offered to buy it for his birthday. But trust me when I do start working I will splurge I'm just waiting on the start line for that lol
@mother.of.2 you’re welcome! I’m still a fairly new Mom myself, but I spent a lot of time researching car seat safety when I was pregnant. I didn’t have much else to do at work on my down time 😂
@queenmeeks
Yes . That's the one carseat I don't remove if I know I'm having my niece's 😂😂😂
My feedback on that is spend the extra money on the carseat I showed you because in a couple of years you'll have to spend another $50 for another one which you can just spend $130 on 1 and use it until he is 8. ❤ i should have bought this one since newborn I would have never had to deal with switching lol

@queenmeeks yea Im thinking that color also, thank you so much
@queenmeeks
Oh yes installing can be a hassle. Like my niece has a Cosco Minnie mouse and to get it reclined properly I had to tightly roll 3 towels under it !
It's a little different than the next though so it was more difficult
@mother.of.2 that’s my backup car seat, just in the Boulder II colorway! It’s a great budget car seat and it just as safe as more expensive ones. Install can be a little bit of a pain, but it’s still easy to do!
Here’s the review on it from CSFTL. They recommend it as well.

@mother.of.2
The Cosco next is a great seat.
I believe you can remove the cup holder if needed. But remember when rearfacing put the straps at or below the shoulders. I use Cosco as my back up seat for all my extra kiddos (minus my oldest, she's too tall 😂)

Thank you!
OK sorry but I got a link ссылка
I'm trying to stay in the budget that my mom paid because we don't really have the funds for it but how about this one?
I got lucky i found the carseat for $100 online because in the store it was $150 but I priced matched it and got it for the $100.
This carseat is for older children. May I recommend one I just bought my almost 11 month old? It's called safety first grow and go 3 in 1 carseat.

I am so glad you asked for advice! But yes, if you find one then don't hesitate to post a picture to see if it will work for your son.
@mother.of.2 I’m sure you’ll find a good convertible! Your son will be comfy, safe, and happy and you’ll be secure knowing he’s safe. 😀
@melissa_luv228 @queenmeeks yea she got this one at Walmart so going on-line now to see what they have rn in exchange. I'll post pics when I think I found a good one for more input. ❤
@nerdymommyplus2 suggested a great and affordable seat! I have a Cosco Scenera Next as my back up car seat and I think I paid $44 for it at Walmart, including tax. My normal seat is the Graco Extend2Fit and I think I paid $160 for it.
I'd say no. He should forward face only after age 2 and that one will not rear face which is why the age requirement is age 2. That sucks!! I would keep that one and go get a cheap one at Wal-Mart he can rear face in.
@crai thanks mama, I will definitely look into that. I feel you're the only one who saw that I asked before actually putting him in. Hence the worried about his safety part lol.
@mother.of.2, I saw that after I commented. As I’m seeing this after I just commented again.
Actually technically this is a combination seat. The seat that you transition too after convertible seats. All the different type names can be confusing.
@cams wtf? Lmao, I just said yea good idea. That second comment was totally uncalled for.
@mother.of.2, no prob. I just bought a convertible Diono and was worried about fit. They told me if i tried to install and it didn’t fit, I could return it. So it should be easy for you to get a new one 😄
@mother.of.2 it’s still a year too early to even consider using this seat, so I would advise you to return it and purchase a convertible car seat. There are plenty of affordable ones on the market! His safety is important and this isn’t safe for him.
Go get a Cosco next. It will rearface him until 40 inches, 40 pounds.
I would keep this for when he does turn 2 though. If you want to. It has 10 year expeiration date. I have this seat for my eldest and I actually didn't like it.
@cams oooh good idea!! Yea I didn't know and completely blanked on the transitioning parts after they turn one lol Thanks mama!!
@mother.of.2, Sorry, your profile says 11 months.
@mother.of.2, that’s still an entire year too early. Return it and get a proper seat.
If you haven’t used it yet, you can return it and exchange for a convertible. Don’t worry about hurting your moms feelings. Your sons safety is more important.
@leahdeere good to know thanks.and he's 1
@klazaro @wafflespancakes @squishymommy1 @crai @queenmeeks OK, my son is 1 not 11 months and I'm a ftm going on two so don't know anything about this so that's why I asked instead of putting him in, in the car thanks though.
He’s only 11 months! Absolutely not.
My girls are almost 5 and still in convertible carseats.
This is a booster, not a convertible car seat. Your son needs to be rear faced in a convertible car seat until at least two if not longer. Do not use this for your 11 month old.
This seat does not allow any child under 2 to be in it. Your child needs to be rearfacing until at least 2. But ideally until 4.
This looks like a booster and not a convertible car seat. I would absolutely not use this yet.

Yesterday I went out with my boyfriend went to watch a movie, me and him don't live together yet. but point is yesterday when he was dropping me off his like sleep over at my house witch the mom and dad lives. I said no,
his response was why is everyone deciding or making choices for you and their going to do the same with the baby, when I know that's not true. what he thinks is that my mom tells me not to sleep over. So he left all mad. and I felt in my heart that he went on and cheated on me...

Transgender children
So I just learned that in my kids school district (my kids aren't in school yet my oldest will be starting kindergarten next September) there are twin boys who identify as girls. They are 5 years old. What's your opinions on this matter given they are 5!!! I don't believe that at that age they really understand the whole thing. So the entire school had to take a course on how to handle transgender children. For example they can't say girls go this or boys do that. What are...
