Difference between spinal block and epidural ? Did the spinal make one feel like they couldn't breathe ?
When I asked what the difference was when I was getting my second c-section, my nurse told me a spinal block goes a little deeper in the spine than the epidural does. With the spinal once it’s inserted you can feel your legs instantly get warm and go numb. I personally thought the spinal didn’t hurt as much as the epidural did.
@michellemybell09 i had tge epidural the first time wasnt a planned c section this time is so i have to do the spinal i asked for a oxygen mask just to prevent that feeling
I don’t know the difference. I had the single shot spinal when I had my csection and I felt like I couldn’t breathe but they also gave me to much and I was numb higher then I should of been. The women kept telling me you can have a heavy feeling in your chest though she said it wasn’t from me being numb to high but I have only had one so I don’t know 🤷🏻♀️🤔
The only difference is the spinal is a single shot, while an epidural is a catheter that offers continuous anesthetic
Is anyone else a carrier of spinal muscular atrophy (SMA)?
C-section mommas how is the spinal? I've never had it before...
Does the Spinal Shot hurt ????
In about 9 days before I get Induced on July 3. Doctor said instead of epidural they are going to do a spinal block instead....Forgot to ask doctor why? I know what an epidural is cause i had that done with my 1st child ....But spinal block I've never heard of it....Any info you ladies know about it id appreciate it. I don't see doc again till next thurs. Which will be 3 days before im induced then. Also with being induced do you still feel the contractions with a spinal block?
