Is not even red anymore I let him air out and lay down with no onesie and it dried and fell off!
His was gooey like that and we were told it's normal. But the redness may be worrisome.
@damn.it.red My doctors with my babies have always told me to use alcohol.. But I have seen others say they were told not to.
@mommytok, exactly. I don’t see how it’s going to dry out without something actually fucking drying it out. 🤦🏼♀️
@damn.it.red, ugh seriously 🙄 Idk why but they def should still tell everyone to use alcohol
@mommytok, why do they tell you not to use it now? I mean I used it for both of the girls. 🤷🏼♀️
@damn.it.red, yeah I definitely will go nuts with alcohol for future kids lol. My daughters pedi office has their own urgent care so we went there to have it done and the guy was sloppy with it that’s probably why hers stained 🤦🏽♀️
@mommytok, I don’t think it stained her skin. She only had to have it done once. My youngest never had it done. But I was constantly cleaning hers with alcohol.
@damn.it.red, do you remember if it stained your girl’s skin? My daughters belly button is stillll dark from it lol
@spenner23, not at all! It just might stain the skin around it for awhile
They’ll probably need to cauterize it, which is probably what @damn.it.red, is talking about! Silver nitrate. My daughter needed it done twice 🙄
@spenner23, no I don’t. But honestly I would rub some alcohol on it to help dry it up.
@spenner23, well with both of my girls I was told to clean it with an alcohol swab after every diaper change. It’ll help dry it out. With my oldest the doctor had to put this silver shit on it to help it out. I can’t remember what it’s called.
@damn.it.red, I got told not to touch it or get it wet or anything let it dry and fall off
