Husband and his buddies say this all the time. Deployment and everything was so hard but there’s nothing like it. They all say civilians are assholes haha

It’s been 10 years and I have been saying that everyday pretty much since I left. I miss it so much

I been out of active duty since 2015 and I still miss it! Being a reservist isn’t the same. The people and lifestyle you become apart of is everything. You’ll never Not miss it. I mean you might not miss the bs you deal with in the military, but it sure is a diff lifestyle and you relate to the people you go through it with so well. Civilians just aren’t the same.

@mommypoppin, I wouldn’t really be able to avoid being deployed If I wanted to work a military related job and with soldiers I’d pretty much have to work a civilian position so I don’t get deployed which wouldn’t really be the same cause I wanna be in uniform my biggest thing is having my family deal with a deployment I don’t want to put them through that

It must be so hard for you. What a big adjustment. Is there a department where you can stay close by as well as part time?

@nikki9109 not sure yet cause the closes one to me is about a hour away but me and my husband plan on moving next year so I'm kind of stuck

@audashley, it definitely is I got out for my kids I didn’t want to be off to deployments and stuff being away from them and everything on my husband. I’m still trying to adjust to the civilian life

My dad was in the military and my husband was in the military till 2016 I miss the military lifestyle but honestly I love seeing my husband more. It's definitely a huge lifestyle change
