What do they do non stress test for?? I had one today and I don’t know why.
It is just to be sure baby is ok in the womb and not showing signs of being stressed essentially. They do them for a variety of reasons! Some doctors just want every mom to have one done too.
The bottom monitor is for the babies heart rate and the top is to measure contracts. It measures movement and hr and the reactivity of the two for 20-40 min. I get one almost every visit because my baby’s dad has a heart condition & my baby has a really high hr & my medical conditions as well. But it’s used for many different reasons. Like people said, I would ask your dr what the specific reason for yours was ☺️
I had NSTs bc I had low amniotic fluid. Call your OBs office in the morning and ask them to tell you why
You didn’t ask why? Lol if you’re ever curious about something ask your dr, that’s what they are there for. Like pp said, it’s to monitor the babies heartbeat and movement.
To monitor your baby’s heart beat. I personally had one done when I wasn’t feeling my baby move much in two days. Unless you mentioned being worried about something or they felt they needed to do one just Incase, idk what other reason. It monitors your baby’s heartbeat for 20-40 mins. To make sure there’s consistency. No major dropping or major incline of the heartbeat.
I had a few done because they were worried I may have preeclampsia and wanted to be sure the baby was doing well! Like a few others said, don't be afraid to ask your doctor, they're there to help 😊 good luck mama!
