As anyone had a blood clot (PE) in their lung while Pregnant and add to be on blood thinner shots?

@mommyoftwoangels, The initial injection doesn’t hurt but it burns about 3-5min later. And yeah Ik it’s strong they even upped my dose to the 100mg. Just isn’t going away. But I get labs done every 2 weeks to monitors my levels.

@knockout, how? The lovenox it’s very strong. Does it still hurt when you inject

@mommyoftwoangels, no mine has gotten bigger since January despite being on the Lovenox. The pain is gone but my leg is numb now

@knockout, the clot is not going away?

@mommyoftwoangels, I have been to 4 hospitals and am currently with a high risk doctor so I’m not sure who else to double check with 😢. They are at the point where they want to put a filter in to make sure I don’t get a PE, but I’m soooo close to delivery I don’t want to risk anything. Iv declined 5 CAT scans already 😬

@knockout, really?!!! They told me two inches away from the bellybutton but it’s all bruised and balled up I don’t have anything else to inject. I would get a 2nd opinion. I was never told that I was talking to someone that had this in their first pregnancy when she got pregnant again they just put her on the shots Immediately just to prevent the blood clots and they also told me once I give birth I don’t want to be on there anymore

@mommyoftwoangels, they told me anywhere on the lower side of my belly (the fatty area) but I’m all bruised and my stomach is getting too round and I can’t pinch the fat anymore like I was able to in January. I’ll be on the shots for another 8 weeks then they are switching me to a lower strength shot so I don’t have bleeding issues when I go into labor. And then pills for the rest of my life. He also told me to consider getting my tubes tied, which breaks my heart because I wanted 4 kids

@knockout, I said that same thing!! I rather give birth then feel this pain. Did they tell you that you have to inject your self 2 inches away from the belly button

@mommyoftwoangels, I think it’s worse than labor pain honestly. Iv delivered twice without epi or Iv meds and it wasn’t NEAR as bad as that month in bed and I even had pain meds for the leg. I’m starting to run out of room for my shots in my belly hoping my doctor lets me start them in my thigh. I truly hope you start feeling relief soon!

@knockout, I can’t believe the Dr have you a hard time to check you. The minute I got to the er the dr said it’s a blood clot and they were right

@knockout, I feel your pain! My is in the lung so it’s so hard to breath and I get these pain attack that I feel like I am having a heart attack and can’t breath. My bruising is the same. They get dark red and black it’s super scary. One of the balls is bigger then a quarter.

@mommyoftwoangels, my Dr said there was no way I had a blood clot but I told them I was paying the bill so they might as well test me, and sure enough my WHOLE LEG! It was swollen and red and I was unable to walk for over a month and I laid in agony seriously wanting to die. It was HORRIBLE. It’s under control now, but yes the shots bruised so bad and I have dark red balls were shots have hit veins 😭😭😭

@knockout, wow!! Thank good they got it on time!!! That’s how much I am on. Are you you fully bruised and have a bunch of balls where you inject?

I never had it go to PE but I have DVT (deep vein blood clot the whole length of my leg) and I have been taking 100mg Lovenox twice a day in my tummy since January.
