So I have a fruit fly problem and I decided to try to get rid of them by deep cleaning the apartment.... my husband was actually off from work tonight so I asked him to put Zach to sleep after I washed him up so I can clean up... I cleaned the whole house minus my bedroom because they were both in there... as I’m mopping the floors my husband wants to point out that the bleach smell is to strong and I should open the windows. Meanwhile his ass in on he bed watching movies while Zach is crying because he’s tired... now I’m rocking Zach in his car seat while my husband is asleep on a pile of blankets on the floor 😑 said he couldn’t put Zach to sleep because he wasn’t trying to go to sleep 🤦🏽♀️
Raid is hazardous To babies. It's really strong. I wouldn't spray that in your kitchen. The apple cider vinegar works. Wal-Mart sells the little Plastic apples that the fruit flies get attracted to and fly inside too...They live in the drains that's true smh. I hate them. I get them randomly if I leave a open banana laying around or don't take the garbage out after a day or two. I also get the fly traps that stick to the ceiling and put it above where the fruit flies are seen and it ends up getting whatever is left.
@scx, and I was just gonna go to Walmart and get a can of flying insect Raid 🤦🏽♀️🤷🏽♀️🤣
Oh but also you can spray this anywhere! In the sinks, the drains, the trash can, and it’ll still work :)
@bodybycheetos, damn but what happens when we turn on the water they don’t drown?
@mitiacarolina3 yeah those gross little bastards lay their eggs in the sink drains. They hatch in like a day too.
@bodybycheetos, they only end up in the rest of the house if I leave the doors open so when I close them there isn’t any but only in the kitchen
@bodybycheetos, because I’ve checked under the sinks, in the cabinets, I washed the dishes, cleaned the dish rack, cleaned out the fridge, through everything away that was open and old, swept and mopped using steaming hot water and bleach.... I just don’t know where they’re coming from
@mitiacarolina3 idk if aluminum foil will work. I've had fruit flies invade twice and filled up like 6 cups and within three days they were gone. The second time took longer and using boiled water did it.
@bodybycheetos, I tried the ACV but I don’t have cling wrap, maybe I could use aluminum foil? I poured bleach down the drains and hot water by I didn’t boil it... and I told him he was useless before he fell asleep but he said whatever and rolled over
@lovemyson16, I saw the plastic apples online but I was so annoyed by them flying around I wanted to kill them on spot 😫😭
