It took me 3 days to fully lose my mucus plug & then my water broke

You can lose and regenerate your plug several times.

@wheelercharle4 I've heard that too, and I've lost it before but this time was a little different, as my OB said it might happen from my cervical exam yesterday. Was just curious, I'm too excited! 🤗

I literally lose a big nasty chunk every time me and my husband have sex lol it grosses me out. I didn't ever even go into labor on my own with my daughter so I didn't have to experience it with my first 😂 @leia_nicole

I was already having labor contractions when I lost my mucus plug, and he came the next day!

@nomli did you do anything to help speed up the process? I'm just so ready to have my little one 😅

I had done a lot of walking, but that was about it. I do joke that it was because I had gone to the movies, haha. I was 38 weeks and had a sudden burst of energy that day. The day before that I was barely at like 1cm, and that was it.

Depends. You can lose pieces of your plug and it can regenerate. I lost pieces for about a day after getting my membranes stripped then all of a sudden lost my plug and it was huge. Almost the size of a golf ball. Once I lost it my water fully broke about 9 hours later. ( I had went in about 2 hours after losing it because I was leaking but they suspected a high leak so I would leak and baby’s head would basically seal it off for a bit and kept doing this for hours)

@tiera_shaye oh wow! 😮 Yesterday my OB stripped my membrane (or tried to) and I had sort of spotting through the day, and this morning I lost the plug and it was fairly large! Still no contractions/water breaking yet, but we'll see!
