Yes, we had a water softener but the trick to getting rid of the smell is to add an aerator attachment. It just gets the gassy smell out. Do some research. I'm not really sure that I know wtf I'm talking about lol

We put water Salt in ours I notice it gets nasty when is low. We get the huge bags for like 8$.

@sassychef135 you can buy whole house/partial house filtration systems. They range in price BUT if you're still in negotiations you can request the seller buy it (if the water is gross) or there are even loan products that include an allowance for home repairs if there are a few things that need to be updated that'll add value to a home

We are looking at buying a house with well water is the reason I’m asking. I know adding softener can help, but doesn’t take away the smell.
