Maybe it’s because I can’t do it that I want to. But all I want to do is get a piercing when I’m pregnant and plan it for after. Of course when I’m done breastfeeding as well so there is no chance of affecting baby. Anywho. After my daughter I got my tragus done. After this baby I am really wanting to get my nipples done. Anyone have theirs done. How was it? Did it take long to heal? Etc.

I had mine done for a little over a year, I had to take them out because I’m currently pregnant. It took almost 9 months to heal( I’m sure it varies with everyone)
I loved the way it looked when they healed. TMI ALERT:
( up until they healed they scabbed over a lot and crusted over, yes I cleaned them, but it was just not really aesthetically pleasing 😂) and it wasn’t the worst pain to have them done. The worst part is the next few days, wearing a bra is miserable but not wearing a bra is worse. I probably wouldn’t get them done again, but if you’re thinking about it I’d say go for it! I hope that’s helpful information lol

Thank you both! I was hoping my nipples would be a little less sensitive after breastfeeding 2 babies. 😂 the healing time is long but I think it will be worth it.

Nipple Piercings take up to a year to fully heal. I had my nipples done and had them for 9 years. I had to take them out for surgery. But even after the year of healing you still have to take care of them. They are very high maintenance piercings

@ellyium, good to know. When you say high maintenance are you meaning caring for them and cleaning them? Because I have my ears stretched to a 0g and care for those a lot so I’m curious if that’s what you mean and it would be no problem for me. I really think I’m gunna do this after baby is here and done breastfeeding. Lol

@tiera_shaye Yeah. You would care for them the same way you care for stretched ears. If you do get them pierced I would recommend not getting the barbells. Youre nipples tend to swell and with personal experience the round ones give more breathing room. I know my breast got really sore with the barbells. There wasn't much room for moving. And definitely wait the year before switching the jewelry.
