@underthesea14, Ohio where it’s just now I believe legal for medicinal purposes as of last month. When I was trying I had to go through fertility & I told my doctors before even getting pregnant that I smoked weed & would continue, both of their responses were that they would be more concerned about cigarettes, aside from of course alcohol & real drugs, oh & caffeine! Every doctor visit I peed in a cup, never once had anything said to me about it, not even after giving birth. I’m by no means bragging about it, I don’t smoke now for other reasons, but people make weed such an awful thing & I’m that one who thinks everyone needs a little in their life 🤷🏽‍♀️

@underthesea14, I told her that as well. She’s in NY but I’m sure it’s the same there. That risk alone is enough to stop in my opinion. (The reason I did)

I smoked my entire pregnancy, up until the day before I was induced, no issues at all & gave birth to a 10lb baby who is now 18m and smart as ever. I didn’t smoke myself stupid tho, I had cut back a ton, & I know more moms than not that smoked during pregnancy with no issues. However not everyone will agree & I’d never say “go smoke while pregnant” but hey it is what it is & I never gave a fuck about anyone’s opinion either. I smoked weed but never took a medication prescription or not. I have my own beliefs tho

Here’s an article from NPR. I don’t think there’s been enough study to know for certain just what kind of impact smoking pot during pregnancy has on a baby.

This article does say that there is some research to indicate that it could have a higher risk for stillbirths, could have adverse effects on the development to the brain, and can contribute to behavioral issues or addiction tendencies later in life. In my opinion, I think people should refrain from anything like that during pregnancy since it isn’t worth risking. I am not a fan of my womb or kids being guinea pigs. There is simply not enough info either way yet in my opinion.
