@grebeka89 that's actually a big possibly. You may have ovulated later like you said. Plus if we think about, the true actual gastationtal age from LMP and actual conception is on average 2 weeks difference so that could be also why baby is measuring different even though you LMP was on the 27th. Also if I'm thinking correctly we can ovulate up to a week after the first day of ovulation. So may be the little swimmers sat in there for a few days before penetrating an egg. So I personally don't think you're miscarrying so much as the reading is off.

the thing is that I measured 5w6d on the 16th and 6w yesterday. I'm hoping my 1st scan was just measured wrong.

I would say its still early to hear the heart beat. But I've had a couple people I know hear it that early while others heard nothing. As hard as it is, relax and don't stress. Drink plenty of water, take your prenatals, eat good (if you can) and rest as much ad possible

I know it’s hard, but just give it time. I had an ultrasound at 6 weeks, 2 days, and the tech said she could tell the heartbeat had just started, maybe even that day, because the number was so low. Like others said, still treat your body like you’re pregnant, drink plenty of water and take your prenatals.

💔 I know how difficult this is but my best advice is to give your body a little more time. I know it's a week of hell. And not knowing. And your mind racing 24/7. It seems like it will never come. But I have heard stories of babies implanting late and sometimes not even showing up until a couple weeks later. If it does end up coming down to needing a D&C or waiting it out my suggestion would be to ask about all of your options. I had a rare nightmare experience with my d&c. I ended up needing to take Cytotec to pass retained products, needing a repeat d&c because that didn't pass everything and then 4 months after the original d&c needing Cytotec again to pass the remaining calcified retained products. I know what happened to me is very rare but if I can prevent one other person from going through the hell that we went through I am glad to share my story.

@curious.george thank you. the nurse was there with me... gave me a full exam then gave me an ultrasound... she told me it looked as if the baby had stopped growing and then she talked about coming back for another ultrasound and my options

@jessig2006 thank you !!! exactly why I am giving up hope. I go back next wed for another ultrasound to see if there's any growth then i will have the choice of waiting one more week or to go ahead and schedule my d&c. I am not bleeding or cramping at all

First off I am sorry you're going through this. If I am being totally honest it doesn't sound to promising if 11 days prior they measured you at 5+6 and on the 27th was measuring 6 weeks but early scans can be off especially when they don't see much. Are you having any bleeding or cramping? I understand how difficult it is but my suggestion is to try and rest, drink plenty of fluids and make sure you're taking your prenatals and anything else your doctor may have suggest. Are they having you come back for another scan?

@spookylyn I'm just confused because I was 5 weeks 6 days on the 16th of May and 2 weeks later it is only measuring 6 weeks now. do you see what I mean?

@curious.george ob appointment was my doctor's. that's where my baby measured at 6 weeks with no heart beat.
