Day shift or night shift
Third shift or second shift
Think I might actually cry once I finish the night shift! I love this show 😭
Is it reasonable to drop off your child at the sitter 6 hours before your shift starts, while you have nothing to do at home?
🥲🥲 third shift ………

I worked 10 to 2 am and I’ve done 10 to 7 anything after 2 am is hard with kids in my opinion but the pay is better

@angelfoodcake I worked 3pm-11pm in the ER for about 2 years. I felt like I didn’t have a life. And I never really got to see my kids. When I got pregnant with my 3rd I told myself that I wasn’t going to do it to him too. So I switched hours. I would wake up take my then 13 and 8 year old to school come home try to get what I can done and then pick them up from school just so I can see them and ask how school was. Drop them off at home and then rush to work. I would go home on my lunch break to eat dinner with them cause they would be sleeping in bed when I got home at 11. I was lucky to have my job close to home so I can go be with them on my break. Now I work 6:30am to 2:30pm. I hope it works out for you.
It didn’t for me especially because my 8 year old was also giving me a hard time going to school. I was 8 months pregnant struggling to get him out my car and into the school. He would always run back out the school after me cause he didn’t want to leave me. He is a mommas boy and it always broke my heart. That was one of the biggest reasons why I couldn’t do 2nd anymore.

@annarizzo123 @iam_ashleylynn @beccamcglocklin828 So my shift will be 1145-815 from home - so the pros are I can make my prenatals appts and get some rest and cooking done so my husband won't have to do it. Hopefully it won't be long but I'm afraid it's the best so that I can make my appointments. I have two a month and of course they will increase. I'm in my probationary period so can't miss any days. I agree second shift does suck for a mom and I imagine even worse away from home 😭

I work 10pm-6am. I have for years. I would never work days. When I get home my husband leaves a few minutes later for work. My kids sleep for 2-3 hours and then we get up for the day. I don't need someone to watch my kids because I'm tired. I am more than capable of taking care of them while being a little tired. If I didn't get to sleep in the morning after getting home from work then I just take a nap after dinner.
