Lots of mom's on here asking about when to go shopping for their baby and what to get, etc. Got me thinking, we're not having a baby shower or anything at all this time around. The biggest thing we're going to need is diapers. I'm wondering when I should start buying those and how many I should even be getting. With my first born I literally didn't have to buy anything so this is all new for me.

Maybe instead of buying diapers now, you can just put money aside for a diaper fund. That way you don’t have a bunch of cases of diapers laying around but you still planned ahead for them.

@aengs2 That's a good idea as well. I did figure I have the time not to budget for it and I have the room as well for everything that I'd really like to start now and make sure we're good when the baby arrives. My daughter was also a preemie, so we were mentally not prepared for her to have arrived when she did. With this baby who knows how it will go, so I just want to have everything set.
One bag of newborn, one box of size 1, one box size 2 and two boxes of size 3 and one box of each sizes is what i got. Both my sons were larger babies they were 8 pounds 15 ounce. I would say get a box of each sizes and if your baby stays in one size for longer then you just go buy another box of the same size. I started buying diapers right away.
We're just getting two huge boxes of diapers in each size from sizes 1-5. With our son, we had a similar setup and it was so convenient not to worry about constantly buying diapers. And always having the next size up on hand was helpful.
@desert_chick Good idea! I literally didn't have to buy diapers for my daughter until she was in a size 3 and we got everything larger we needed from the shower. All I had to buy was formula. So this time around it kind of feels like the first time for everything lol
